From Now Until Forever, a paranormal romance anthology from the League of Utah Writers Romance Chapter, was recently published! This collection brings together stories that explore love through a supernatural and speculative lenses, blending emotional intimacy with mystery and darkness.
I contributed a story titled “Whispers of the Past” and celebrated the anthology’s release at a book launch at Marissa’s Books in Salt Lake City. The evening created space for reflection, conversation, and shared appreciation for the range and depth of paranormal romance.
About the Anthology
This anthology centers stories that move beyond traditional romance frameworks, incorporating elements of the paranormal, the uncanny, and the psychological. Each piece engages with themes of time, identity, and transformation, allowing love to exist alongside fear, grief, and uncertainty.
The collection reflects the LUW Romance Chapter’s commitment to expanding what romance can hold, inviting readers to experience stories that are emotional, imaginative, and complex.
Whispers of the Past
My contribution, “Whispers of the Past,” is a feminist dark fiction story that sits at the intersection of horror and paranormal romance. The narrative leans into atmosphere and emotional tension rather than exposition, using the supernatural to examine power and desire.
The Book Launch at Marissa’s Books
The launch event at Marissa’s Books provided an intimate and welcoming setting for this anthology. Sharing space with fellow contributors and readers emphasized the communal nature of storytelling and the importance of independent bookstores in supporting local literary work.
Book launches like this one extend stories beyond the page, creating moments where writers and readers meet in conversation and curiosity.
Why This Project Matters
From Now Until Forever reflects the kind of genre‑blending work I value. Stories that embrace romance while allowing room for darkness, complexity, and transformation.
This project aligns closely with my interest in writing that challenges genre boundaries and centers women’s perspectives within speculative and horror‑adjacent spaces. It also reinforces the importance of creative community and shared celebration.
